CEVA Logistics is recognized for its strength in operations excellence, which is reflected in numerous awards received in the past years.

In 2004, as part of our ongoing quest to improve our operational performance, we launched our LEAN program in order to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve quality and service levels. LEAN enables us to deliver continuous improvement to our customers and change the culture of our organization.

LEAN is a standard methodology for identifying, analyzing and eliminating waste. It was originally developed by Toyota and has been successfully implemented in other industries. CEVA is unique within the supply chain industry in developing a comprehensive LEAN program.

CEVA implements LEAN by tackling waste, inflexibility and variability:

  • LEAN enemy 1: waste
We reduce waste by eliminating non-value adding processes resulting in lower costs, improved quality and more consistent flow.
  • LEAN enemy 2: inflexibility
We increase flexibility by better matching throughput and demand, so we can deliver the right amount at the right time to our client.
  • LEAN enemy 3: variability
We increase consistency by improving process reliability, while lowering cost and improving quality.

Our in-house team of LEAN experts is rolling out LEAN to all our logistics and freight management operations. We train and empower all our people to look for new ways to improve their day-to-day activities.

We continue to extend the scope of LEAN into all areas of our organization, for example  office and administration processes. Our overall goal is to enable our customers to reduce inventory, reduce lead times, further streamline their supply chains and lower their overall supply chain cost.
